I have dedicated my life to creative work
I have dedicated my life to creative work. My parents say that I painted walls in our house very masterly, when I wasn’t even able to walk. At the age of 7 I already started filming: as a director and camera operator, I managed my “film crew”, constantly shouting at them. I also made cartoons with my camera and a sheet of paper. Then I went to school and learned oil painting. I graduated from GITR (film and television institute) as a set designer, but I wanted to learn more. My next step was UAL (University of the Arts London), where I studied animation. I started my carrier as a toy designer. Then I designed studios of “TVC” TV channel, exhibition centers, websites and so on. I began to work in Vizart as an operational graphics designer in 2008. That time I almost invited myself to the interview – but I was qualified enough and matched the selection criteria. Since then I work there, but already as an art director.
Filming process is breathtaking
I spent a year studying various aspects of filmmaking and post-production techniques at “Russia2” promotion department. Videoshooting process is wonderful and breathtaking, especially if you make a movie or a TV show. As a designer, I like video and graphics combination, show packaging. While working in Vizart, I have conducted many interesting projects: Weather, News, “Moskva24” TV Channel branding, Olympics 2012 in London – those were amazing projects to be part of. As a speaker, I am especially proud of my participation in PromaxBDA Conference. It was nice to hear some kind words from Dutch Toast guys, who won grand prix that evening.
Creative potential is what we definitely have
Television graphics, obviously, revolves around technologies – when technologies develop, the studio develops as well. We see studios on air, in which only one part is real. It helps expand shooting space to truly enormous size. Anyway, the studio is constantly developing in search of new ways and solutions. Creative potential is what we definitely have.
